More young Christians are seeing the need to put Christ and His Kingdom ahead of partisan politics. This trend lines up with New Testament scripture...

A recent article in USA today reported that college-age Christian’s are increasingly registering as neither conservative nor liberal, Democrat nor Republican – they often identify themselves as independent. The reason is, they’re tired of being exploited by political groups that don’t share their spiritual values. More young Christians are seeing the need to put Christ and His Kingdom ahead of partisan politics. This trend lines up with New Testament scripture:

1 Tim 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Rom 13:1-4 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.

I shared with a woman in California that one of my duties as an Ambassador of Christ, in Washington, is to pray for the President. She jumped backwards and shouted, “No, no no! I’m not going to pray for Barak Obama. I hope he dies.” (She says she’s a Spirit-filled Christian, but obviously she’s selective about what part of the New Testament she believes).

In Massachusetts, a Christian couple threw their communion elements at the altar and stormed out of the church after learning the theme of the communion service was repentance for church members who had not been doing their Christian duty in praying for the President, and honoring his office. (Apparently, this couple’s political views are more sacred than the rite of Holy Communion).

When I accepted my call to the ministry, I made a decision to preach Christ and to keep my political convictions to myself. I speak for myself – not every minister has made that decision.

What are your thoughts?

This was the second, annual Green Bay event. There were instant healings, transformative experiences, and the visible cloud of glory was present in the room for more than an hour after the Friday night event. Young people sat in the cloud qiuetly after the service.

Arrangements are being made to return next year. We will publish the dates as soon as they’re confirmed. Make plans to bring your family and friends.

USA Today recently quoted a poll that says, "Two-thirds of Americans believe we have a major problem with civility. More than seven in 10 agree that social behaviors are ruder than in the past."

Are Americans becoming crass? Is a lack of civility a sign of the decline of civilization?

The Apostle Paul said, “…evil communications corrupt good manners.” People, especially children, learn bad behavior from others. If comportment isn’t being taught in school or at home, then it falls to the church to teach good manners. As the representatives of Christ, shouldn’t we hold ourselves to a higher standard? Rudeness and social insensitivity are in the church (some churches more than others). Of all places, shouldn’t the church should be an oasis of love?

When church people learn that my wife and I are certified protocol and etiquette consultants, more often than not, the response is “Why?” Often, it’s followed by, “I’m just who I am, like it or not.” That’s an interesting response. After all, politeness is simply the art of making others feel comfortable. Emily Post said, “Manners are a sensitive awareness of the feelings of others. If you have that awareness, you have good manners, no matter what fork you use.”

I would like to know how you feel:

Are people with good manners just acting high-minded?

Do you think good manners are important?

When it comes to manners, what are your pet peeves?

To have a revelation of Jesus the Christ the Son of the living God is to partake of His divine nature and escape the corruption of the world which comes by lust...

By Reverend Daniel Rouse

Jesus’ questioned His disciples “…who do you say that I am?” With many guesses, only one answer was inspired of God, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus then admonished Peter, “Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:16-18)

Jesus said, “…and on this rock I will build my church.” Church history has made a saint out of the Apostle Peter and has considered him the “father” of the church.

Was it a man that Christ was to build His church upon or was it the revelation, “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God?’

Looking at the last letter he wrote to the church, shortly before his death, the Apostle Peter wrote concerning Jesus the Christ:

“For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither useless nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” (2 Peter 1:8-9)

These scriptures tell us several things:

Our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ can cause fruit in our life

Our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ can make us useful

If we lack knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ we are blind to our redemption

Earlier in the chapter the Apostle says these things concerning our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ:

“…that through these [great and precious promises] you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:4)

We have been given EVERYTHING that pertains to life and godliness THROUGH the knowledge of Him [Jesus the Christ the Son of the living God]. To have a revelation of Jesus the Christ the Son of the living God is to partake of His divine nature and to escape the corruption of the world which comes by lust.

In his last letter to the church, the Apostle Peter wrote to protect the revelation he received from God in heaven — that is, the knowledge of Jesus the Christ the Son of the living God.

The revelation that Jesus is the Christ, and that He is the Son of the living God, is a revelation that will transform your life and cause you to not be useless and unfruitful. Throughout my life I have seen Christians struggle to bear fruit or — to bluntly say, to be useless. However, I have also met Christians who are fruitful and useful. The difference is their revelation of who Christ is. Not necessarily who Christ was when He walked the streets of Galilee, but who He is today, “…Christ in you the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27)

On this revelation Jesus has built His church.

Do you know the risen, glorified Christ?

Have you partaken of His divine nature?

Is Christ glorified in you?

The Apostle Peter protected this message to his dying day. The rest of Second Peter is spent warning of false teachers, destructive doctrines, and deceptions that would sway the church from its ROCK, the revelation of Jesus the Christ.

Protect the hidden mystery. Learn and discover who Jesus is today and who you are as a partaker in His divine nature. Then the Bible promises that on this church, a church founded on the revelation of Christ, the gates of Hades will NOT prevail.

I’m passionate about Shortwave Radio! When I was a teenager, living in the remote elevations of the Peruvian Andes, I depended on shortwave radio for news of the outside world. I spent hours, late at night, tuning in BBC, Voice of America and Gospel programs from the Dutch Antilles on my Zenith Transoceanic Radio. It was very inviting to hear friendly voices talking to me.

Recently, while preaching, I mentioned shortwave Radio, and I got blank stares. I asked, “How many of you know what Shortwave Radio is?” Two or three hands went up. I took a minute and explained that it’s long-range Radio that’s still the main connection with the outside world for millions of people in undeveloped nations and remote areas of the world.

A few days ago, the King’s Embassy of the Air negotiated an amazing contract with a powerful transoceanic station to broadcast our Sunday, Gospel program to Africa, the Caribbean and many other nations, for only fifty dollars per broadcast.

We are praying for special Shortwave Outreach Partners to step out and help. You can easily sponsor a Week, a month, or even a year of Gospel broadcasts. Want to know more? Info@kingsembassy.com

Today is a special day in my life. My mother, Katy, celebrates her ninetieth birthday, and my son, Jesse, celebrates his thirty-eight birthday. Jesse was still-born. I fell on my face and prayed desperately until God answered with a miracle and restored his life. That day marked a change in my ministry.

Although I had been preaching for three years, I had no plans of taking my ministry to the world. I was content where I was, living on my beautiful property in the Ozark National Forest and preaching in small, mountain churches. However, that day I said, “Lord, I’ll go where you want me to go.” The events that followed would fill volumes. My ministry has been a one of continuous miracles and adventures in the Spirit.

I thank God for his faithfulness and His grace. I thank God for my special friends and partners who have helped this ministry do what it has done. I especially thank my wife Loretta, who’s contributed more than anyone, my sons who have sacrificed much for the ministry, my mentors who have poured their wisdom into my life, and my Associate, Rev. Daniel Rouse, who does so much to bless this ministry (and who knows how to live by faith).

As I enter my third phase of ministry, I look forward to the great things God has in store for Commonwealth of Christ. I believe, with all my heart, the latter house will experience a glory that exceeds the former house.

Minor Earthquake in Washington, D.C.

The people were more shaken than the buildings. Is the Washington DC earthquake, a sign of the end-times? That’s what the prophets of doom and gloom are saying. However, according to the US Geologic Survey, earthquakes are not increasing in frequency — they are actually decreasing: “Although it may seem that we are having more earthquakes, earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or greater have remained fairly constant throughout this century and, according to our records, have actually seemed to decrease in recent years.” (USGS)

MASTERS SEMINAR — Advanced Gifts of the Spirit

The Richmond Seminar went well. Twenty-eight people registered — most of them from two great, area churches led by Pastors David and Christine Fergeson and Pastor Jim Langlois. The Q& A session during the last session was exceptional. Five seasoned ministers sat on the panel and answered questions from the seminar delegates. The questions were thoughtful and the answers were exceptional. We were pleased with the activity on our product table. In particular, people were interested in Ambassador Huggins’ CD-message titled, The Witness of the Spirit. We are happy that we received four new Embassy partners. All around, the seminar was very worthwhile.
