Poor Rich

Exerpt: Prosperity, The Choice is Yours

The Justification of Biblical Prosperity & The Principles of Increase

By Dr. John Avanzini & Ambassador Larry Huggins

Ambassador Huggins: Before Dr. Avanzini and I get started, I want you to know something important: Biblical prosperity isn’t just an Old Testament doctrine. Biblical Prosperity is a New Testament doctrine. Biblical prosperity isn’t a minor doctrine. It’s a major doctrine. Biblical prosperity isn’t man’s idea. It’s God’s idea.

Biblical prosperity isn’t a fringe doctrine. It’s in the atonement, just like righteousness and healing. The same Jesus who died to break the power of sin from your life, also died to break the power of poverty from your life.

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through His poverty might become rich.” (2 Cor 8:9)

What kind of Grace is this? The grace to be rich! Grace is God’s willingness to use His unmerited power on your behalf. He did it so who might be rich? “That ye might be rich!”

Now, let me settle a question: When did Jesus become poor? He became poor at the cross of Calvary, not before. He was born rich – the richest man on earth. Never doubt it – He owned the world; but He gave it up for you. That’s how much you mean to Him. That’s how much he values your prosperity.

Here’s how the substitionary sacrifice of Christ works: He gave up his life that we might receive the life and nature of God. I call this principle the divine exchange. He abdicated His earthly kingdom that we might rule and reign in life by Him. He became sin that we might become the righteousness of Christ, in God. He gave up His earthly riches that we might become rich.

Yes, biblical prosperity is in the atonement. What is the atonement? It is being made at-one-with-God. Biblical prosperity was purchased by the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ upon the cross. Your prosperity was purchased and guaranteed by the priceless Blood of Jesus… [You can download the entire ebook, just for free, just for tweeting about us]
